I wanted to express Singapore in the way I know and see it by abstracting and simplifying elements that represent Singapore, including everything from local elements to famous tourist attractions.

The elements are arranged around the edge of the canvas to give the feeling of standing in the middle of the city and looking up towards the sky with buildings towering over. I added reddish colours- red, maroon and magenta, as red is Singapore’s representative colour, and to symbolise the diversity, yet unity as one Singapore, one nation.
